UniteFix ("we," "us," "our") operates a home services platform available at www.unitefix.com and through the UniteFix mobile application (Android package: com.unitefix.app). Our platform connects customers with verified service professionals ("Partners") for appliance repair, maintenance, and related home services across India.
This Privacy Policy describes how we collect, use, store, share, and protect your personal information when you use our App or website. By using UniteFix, you agree to this policy. If you do not agree, please discontinue use immediately.

3. Information We Collect
3.1 — Account Information (All Users)
When you register or log in, we collect:
- Full name — to identify your account
- Mobile phone number — for login, OTP verification, and service coordination
- Email address — for account verification, receipts, and notifications
- Profile picture — optional, to personalise your profile
3.2 — Service & Address Information
- Home address and service address — required to schedule and fulfil service requests
- Saved addresses — addresses you choose to save for quick booking
- Service request details — appliance type, brand, model, issue description, and photos you submit
3.3 — Location Data
With your explicit permission, we collect:
- Precise GPS location (ACCESS_FINE_LOCATION) — to match you with nearby Partners, display available services, and allow Partners to navigate to your address
- Approximate location (ACCESS_COARSE_LOCATION) — used as a fallback when precise location is unavailable
Location is only collected while the App is active or while a Partner is assigned to your booking. We do not track your location in the background for any other purpose.
3.4 — Partner-Specific Information (Service Professionals Only)
If you register as a service Partner, we additionally collect:

3.5 — Payment Information
We do not store full card numbers or CVV details. Payment data is handled by Razorpay (PCI-DSS compliant). We receive and store: transaction ID and order ID, payment status, and booking fee/service charge amounts.
3.6 — Device & Usage Information
Collected automatically when you use the App:
- Device model and operating system version
- Push notification token (Firebase Cloud Messaging)
- App usage patterns, screens visited, and session duration
- Crash reports and error logs (for debugging)
3.7 — Information from Third-Party Login
If you use Truecaller to register or log in, we receive your verified phone number and full name from Truecaller. We do not receive your Truecaller contacts or any other data.

5. How We Share Your Information
We do not sell your personal data to anyone.
5.1 — Between Customers and Partners
When a booking is confirmed, the assigned Partner receives the customer's name, address, and service description. The customer receives the Partner's name and phone number for coordination.
5.2 — Trusted Third-Party Processors

All processors are contractually obligated to protect your data and prohibited from using it for their own purposes.
5.3 — Legal Requirements
We may disclose personal data if required by a court order, valid legal process, government or regulatory authority, or to protect the safety, rights, or property of UniteFix, our users, or the public.
5.4 — Business Transfers
In the event of a merger, acquisition, or sale of business assets, your data may be transferred. We will notify you via email or in-app notice before such a transfer.
6. Sensitive Personal Information
KYC Documents (Partners Only)
Aadhaar numbers, PAN numbers, and uploaded document images constitute Sensitive Personal Data or Information (SPDI) under Indian law. We:
- Collect these only from verified service Partners
- Store all SPDI with AES-256 encryption at rest
- Restrict access to authorised administrators only
- Display only masked versions (e.g., XXXX-XXXX-1234) in the UI
- Never share these with customers or any third party except as required by law
Financial Data
Bank account numbers and UPI IDs are shared only with Razorpay for payout processing. These are never visible to customers and are masked in all UI displays.

All optional permissions are requested at runtime with a clear explanation. You can deny any; some features will be limited.

11. Children's Privacy
UniteFix is intended exclusively for users aged 18 years and above. We do not knowingly collect personal information from minors. If you believe a person under 18 has registered, contact us at support@unitefix.com and we will delete the account.
12. Security
- TLS/HTTPS encryption for all data in transit
- AES-256 encryption for sensitive data at rest
- JWT-based authentication with expiring access tokens and secure refresh
- Role-based access control — customers, partners, and admins access only role-relevant data
- No plaintext passwords — all credentials are hashed
- Regular code security reviews
Despite these measures, no internet transmission is 100% secure. We commit to notifying you in the event of a data breach affecting your personal information.

We may update this Privacy Policy periodically. When we do, we will update the "Last Updated" date at the top. For material changes, we will send an in-app notification. Continued use of the App after changes constitutes acceptance.
